We are presently using Kick'n paintballs. However, I am talking to a few other suppliers.

Anouncement: I deleted a post here that asked about using their own paint. However, I decided to post my reasoning of why we do not allow other paint to be used on our field.

First and foremost, I can't allow other paint on my field because of liability issues. If someone brings in old or altered paint that hurts someone then my butt will be in a sling. We know our paint is fresh and unaltered. It will break at the other end and not seriously harm anyone.

I sell paint for off field use at $35.00 a case. But it is being used off my field. (They are also buying CO2 or C/A.) If you play on my field, I have to pay refs, insurance, and maintenance on the fields.

I am also not opening that can of worms. If I were to let one, then others would want to as well. It is expensive to put these games on and plus I have bills to pay too. I couldn't afford to be here if I let everyone bring their own paint. I almost can't afford to be here now.

I think this is enough to get my point across of why we have to use our paint. If it is not, please call me and I will be happy to explain in further detail.

Perry

P.S. We may have Draxus for our premium paint.

there needs to be some more explaining on the paint. I dont really play much at BC and maybe this only applies to Big Scenario games but...

if you have to pay $30 bucks to play...
and you have to play with BC purchased paint (no arguments there) Why do we have to pay almost double to price for the paint to use it on BCs field. You stated that you have refs to pay and such.. but isnt that what the $30 bucks goes towards??
now this all makes sense if the $30 bucks goes towards prizes and trophies and your not really getting any field usage money on days of big games..

but in a different example:
Lets say 6 of us show up on a normal Saturday with no big games scheduled and we just want to shoot it out. we have to pay $10 for field usage and buy and use BCs paintball (due to liability issues and such which is perfectly understandable) but instead of paying $35 bucks a case were paying almost double.. so our perception is were paying $35 bucks for paint and $35 bucks for field usage..Is this the case? or is paint normal price on non big game days and the webpage just doesnt show it? not trying to argue with ya Perry just a lil more clairity would be nice.

dude, not to be mean or anything, but....are u crazy!? $35 a case is dang cheap....if you look anywhere else the average for a case of paint is $60-$75 a case....that is what it used to be at BC, and its not cheaply made paint.

Bronco...

the price of the paint is not the point..well it is.. just not the point you made.

Kickn Premium Paintballs is $36.00 retail across the state. Not $60 to $70 as you claim.. Is there paint out there that expensive..yes.. but not Kickn brand

What does BC sell and use on their field.. Kickn Paintballs
What does Perry sell a case for off the field.. $36.00
So i just want do know why its not.. $10 to play + $36.00 for paint instead of $10 to play + $36 for paint + $25 additional markup on the paint to use it at BC...

I jumped into this debate a little late, but figured I'd post anyways.

I do not know of any field in the state selling paint for less than $50. In fact paint at Wacky Warriors, the longest running field in MO, is $75 per case for non-members. Sure you can go to a retailer and buy paint for $40, but where will you use it? There is only a couple of BYOP fields in MO (for good reason).

Battle Creek's paint is cheap and has been of very high quality lately. Rock on, Perry!
